Biography

Brice was born in 1841, the eleventh child of John and Rebecca (Nichols) Lee. He would marry Clarinda Davis on April 29, 1860 and they are living with Brice's parents in the 1860 US Census.

Brice joined the 17th Iowa Infantry when the Civil War broke out. He was killed in action at the first major battle in the west at Iuka, Mississippi on September 19, 1862.

According to Clarinda's government pension form in late 1862, Brice and Clarinda had a son, Nathaniel Lee, most likely born in 1862. In the Family Search Profile linked below there is a daughter, Evaline "Eva" Lee (1861-1938).
