Biography

Mary Jennie Lee was born in 1879. She was the daughter of Ezra S Lee and Alice Jordan ^[1].

Jennie married Homer Granville Hernly on 21 June 1903.^[2] The ceremony was at her home in Modoc, Randolph County, IN, USA^[3][1] and performed by Ira E Price, Minister of the Gospel.^[4] They had the following children:

1. Harold Granville (b. 1908, St. Louis, MO, USA^[5]; d. 1995)
2. Mildred Lee (b. 1909, Webster Grove, MO, USA)^[5]
3. Mary Madeline (b. 1914, Chicago, IL, USA)^[6]

After graduation from high school attended Indiana University and taught grade school three years. On completing a commercial and secretarial course in Indianapolis, he accepted a position with the General Passenger Department of the M K , T Ry. {Missouri, Kansas, and Texas Railroad], in St Louis in 1902. In July, 1912, went with the Central Passenger Association in Chicago and since 1920 was employed in the passenger tariff bureau of the Pennsylvania R. R. Retired January 31, 1949. [his children] Harold G and Mildred were born in St. Louis and Webster Groves, Mo. respectively, and Mary, Margaret, and Frederick were born in Chicago, Ill."
