Biography

Donnie (Lee) Fann was born in North Carolina.

Donnie, daughter of Arthur Turner (sic) (Tillman) Lee and Sarah Laurina (sic) (Louvenia) Wilkins, was born on 16 September 1924 in Boon Hill Township, Johnston, North Carolina.^[1] In the 1930 census Dannie (sic) (Donnie) (age 5) was the daughter of Arthur T Lee in Wilson's Mills Township, Johnston, North Carolina, United States.^[2] And also in 1940, she was with her parents, in Selma, Pine Level Township, Johnston County.^[3]

After her father died in 1947, on 19 June 1948, in Richmond, Virginia, she and Ezra B Fann, son of Samuel A and Mattie (Bryant) Fann, married.^[4]

She and Ezra had one son (living).

An obituary cited on FindAGrave, mentions that Donnie was a Wayne County public school teacher, and later a North Carolina Retired School Personnel member, but also a devoted First Pentecostal Holiness Church pastor's wife of 25 years of ministry. Her husband Ezra Fann predeceased her in 2008. Donnie Ruth (Lee) Fann is mentioned on a memorial in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Johnston County, North Carolina, United States with a death date of 29 November 2011. Their joint memorial stone names her as Donnie Ruth and confirms her vital dates; with FANN above both their names, her husband shown as Ezra Bryan (July 21, 1915-Nov 26, 2008).^[5]
