Note N812JONATHAN4 FROST, son of Joseph3 and Hannah, b. in Sherborn, Mass., Feb. 27, 1738; d. in Marlborough, N. H., of the small-pox, Sept. 25, 1776. He m. in Sherborn, in 1760, Martha
Leland. He moved to Marlborough in 1775, after having seen a little service in the Revolution. His widow d. in Marlborough, Mar. 15, 1804, ae. 64. Seven of their eight ch. lived to maturity, married, and settled in Marlborough. Among them was Col. Joseph5 Frost, the grandfather of Hon. Rufus S.7 Frost, the benefactor of Marlborough, who presented that town with its handsome stone library building. (FTM #449 - p235)
