Biography
Marie Madeleine Lemire daughter of Alexis Lemire and Marie Anne Labrèche was born on March 22, 1753 and baptized the same day at parish Saint-Joseph-de-Maskinongé. Her godfather was Joseph Lupien and her godmother was his wife Marie (Marie Anne Lemire ?) who said they did not know how to sign.[1][2] She married Pierre Lafrenière at Saint-Antoine-de-la-Rivière-du-Loup in Louiseville, Québec on 3 August 1773.[3]
