He passed away 11 January 1890 at Hillgrove, New South Wales at the age of 52 ^[4]

His headstone records his age as 52 in Jan 1890 so this would put his year of birth as about 1837 or 1838. ^[5] and is buried in Armidale Shire, New South Wales, Australia.^[6]
