Biography

Andrew Lester was born about 1693, calculating from the inscription on his gravestone in Preston.

Andrew married Lydia Starkweather in Preston on December 28, 1714.^[1][2]

Their children were:^[2][1]

• John Lester, born Jan. 2, 1716-7, died young
• Timothy Lester, born Aug. 27, 1718, married Mehitabel Belcher on 1 Oct 1741
• John Lester , born July 19, 1721, married Mary Herrick, on 3 Feb 1741-2
• Mary Lester , born Oct. 19, 1723, married Robert Stanton on 4 Nov 1741

Lieut. Andrew Lester passed away May 22, 1750/1751 in Preston, New London.^[1][3]. He was buried in the Preston City Cemetery, where his gravestone reads "Here lies the body of Lieut. Andrew Lester who died May 22, 1750 aged 57."^[4][2]
