Baptized St Mary, Rotherhithe, London, England, 21 Jan 1803.
Re-baptized 18 Jul 1820 at Poplar All Saints, England, along with his brother John George.
Somebody named Tristram Lester who is said to have been murdered, giving rise to the "Lester Family Curse" on the eldest sons of the family. The story sometimes gives the name of Tristram Hiam Lester, but seems more likely to refer to Hyam-42.
