German was born about 1789.
German Lester and Fountain Lester were among the first settlers of Giles Co., TN
He was elected first clerk of the county court in February 1810.
This would also most certainly be the German Lester that, in 1814, witnessed the will of Larkin Cleveland, his wife Lucinda's father,
"German Lester was married 4 or 5 times."
