Biography

Pricey Lester was born in July, 1850 in Virginia, United States.

Pricey (22) married James Henderson Slone (18) (born in May, 1854 in Kentucky, United States; son of [father] and [mother]) in 1873 in Kentucky, United States. Their son was Thompson Slone (~1875– ).

Pricey died in 1904 in Buchanan, Virginia, aged 53.

Parents

Many believe that Pricey/Pricy Lester is the daughter of Edmond Lester (1800–1895) and Sarah Stiltner (1802–1880); but a linking source is needed for verification. Two sources that are certainly needed include her marriage record and her record of death; it is possible that one of those documents would link her parents.

I do believe that her mother's name was Sarah and she named her first child after her mother. I believe that she is listed with Sarah on both: the 1860 Census and the 1870 Census reports that are listed below; but it should be noted that her father is not listed in the household on either census record. If her father was Edmond Lester and he did not pass away until 1895; why is he not listed on either census record?
