Elsie Vera Lewis was born on 30 Dec 1908 in Cardiff, Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom, daughter of Thomas Frederick David Lewis (1881–1943) and Elsie Marion Rich (1884–1913).[1]
In 1911, Elsie (2) was living with her parents, Thomas Frederick David (29) and Elsie Marion (27); and her siblings, Dorothy Evelyn (5), and Gladys Muriel (0). [2]
