Jacob Lewis was born May 24, 1750 in Berkeley County, Virginia.[1][2] He married Sarah Aubrey Noland[3] in 1769. His service during the Revolutionary War was in North Carolina, his residence in Guilford county.[1]

Jacob and Sarah (Noland) Lewis had several children, including

  • Pearce A. Lewis[4] (middle name Aubrey), married Phebe Langdon[1]
  • Jacob Lewis, married Lucy Ann Smith[1][5]
  • Jacob Lewis, married Elizabeth[4] Gibson[6]
