Biography

Richard was born in 1937in South Corning, New York. A year later his family moved to Caton. After high school he worked in Buffalo for a year at the airplane factory. He came back to the family farm. He farmed there until 1984. He was active in the Farm Bureau, the Grange, American Jersey Cattle Club and New York Jersey Cattle Club. In later years he joined the Gideons. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Corning. He helped found the American Baptist Church in Big Flats. Later he joined Caton Bible Chapel where he served as a deacon. The last years of his life he was a member of North Baptist Church in Corning. He passed away in 2006.
