His first wife was Christina Carolina Holmberg. They were married on February 18, 1841 in Storkyrkoförsamlingen (also known as Sankt Nikolai or Domkyrkoförsamlingen) in Stockholm.[1]
They lived at Skomakargatan 5 in Gamla Stan when their son Petrus Walfrid was born in 1844 and had moved to Nygatan 1, kvarter Mercurius in Gamla Stan in Stockholm at the birth of their daughter Olivia Constantia Rosalie in April 1844. Göran was a master tailor by then.[2]
Körsnär Anders Lindman who was a witness at their daughters christening is likely a brother of Göran Peter's. They lived at the same address.[3] Married woman Car[onlina?]. Lindman was also a witness. It's unclear if she was Anders' wife or a sister to Göran Peter.
Göran's young wife Christina Carolina passed away within less than two months after their daughter's birth, of "inflammation". She was just 26 years old and left him behind with two very young children, a two year old a six week old infant.
Göran married his second wife Christina Wilhelmina Åslander in Rosendal on October 11, 1845 in Hammarby parish, Stockholms län.[4]
The family emigrated to America in 1852. They arrived in New York in September 1852.
The family lived in Milwaukee City, Wisconsin 1860.[5]
In 1880 they had moved to Merton in Waukesha in Wisconsin.[6]
