Biography

Samuel Robert Lingle was born on 1 July 1865 in Gregg Township, Centre, Pennsylvania, United States, son of Michael Lengle (1816–1877) and Rebecca Jamison (~1830–1881).[1]

He married Letitia Katherine (Alexander) Lingle (1869-1911) in about 1891.[2] She was the daughter of Christian Alexander and Sarah V. Keen. Their daughter was Florence Edith (Lingle) Whiteman (1901-1994)

Samuel died on 7 February 1937 in Centre Hall, Centre, aged 71. He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, Millheim, Centre County, Pennsylvania.[3] [1]
