Biography

Daughter of Friedrich August Lipke and Joanna Feinhold.

At the age of six her parents moved to a farm north of Peru.

She was the sister of Fred Lipke and William Lipke, of Zearing, Mrs. Anna Culver of Peru, Mrs. Augusta Felton and Mrs. Charles Mitchell of Peru.

In the 1900 Census Fredricka Lipke is enumerated with her parents, listed as age 39 and single.^[1] She is also enumerated with her husband and children.^[2]

She married Jacob C. Tilden (1860-1909) 27 Feb 1889.^[3] Her husband died in 1909. She moved to the city of Peru in 1911.

She was the mother of Emma Tilden, Minnie Tilden, and Mrs. Edwin Lang. She was the grandmother of Calvin and Jean Lang.
