Biography

Appleton Post-Crescent, 21 Sep 1940, page 4: Mrs Mary Wettlaufer, 86, former resident of Appleton, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry E. Kretschmann, route 7, Green Bay. She was born in Appleton, Dec. 12, 1853. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Edward Theby, Appleton; a brother, William LIpke, Scottsville, Kansas; and a grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Monday afternoon at Riverside Cemetery chapel. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The body may be visited at the [illegible] and Greiser Funeral Home, Green Bay, until Monday noon.
