Preston served in the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea.

Preston, son of Preston Litman & Lela Riggins, died (age 59) on 11 May 1980 in Fort Sam Houston, Bexar, Texas, United States.^[2] Preston was buried in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, United States.^[3]
