DEATH. — We regret to record the sudden death of Mrs J. Griffin, of Thalaba. Deceased, who was 76 years of age, was found dead in her bed on Wednesday morning, having expired during the night from heart disease. She was the wife of Mr J. Griffin, one of our first school teachers, and a very old resident of the district. Her remains were interred in the C. E. portion of the Dungog cemetery yesterday. The funeral was largely attended, and the Rev. O. E. Hill conducted the burial service.

The Late Mrs. Griffin. — In our last issue in recording the death of Mrs J. Griffin, of Thalaba, it was stated that death was due to heart disease, and was very sudden. It appears that although her death was un-expected, she had been ill a few days. On Monday morning she was ill, but on Tuesday, feeling better, she went about the home as usual. On Wednesday she become worse and expired that evening at 5 p.m. Mrs. Robert Berry kindly nursed her during her illness, and she received every possible care and attention. She was 65 years of age, and was a very old and much respected resident of the district.
