"Ebenezer was a Revolutionary soldier. The musket, bayonet and knapsack worn by him are held and highly prized by his grandson, Jacob Lobdell, of East Lansing, N. Y. Mrs. M. C. Lobdell, widow of Ebenezer, Jr., tells me that he was a member of the Masonic fraternity at Salem, N. Y. A silver badge handed down from father to eldest son gives this information. Last Will and Testament of Ebenezer Lobdell of the Town of Goshen. Dated 25 Aug., 1820, recorded in Surrogate's office. Book F, p. 347. 31 Aug., 1820." (Lobdell)
