Biography

Sarah Locke was born on 14 July 1696, in Lexington, Middlesex, Massachusetts[1][2].

On June 10, 1718[3], at 25 years old, Samuel Snow III married Sarah Locke. They were married in Woburn, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts Bay. The couple had the following children:[4]

  1. Samuel Snow IV, b. 7 Dec 1719[5], d. 22 Apr 1790, m. Hannah Wilson[6]
  2. Oliver Snow, b. 28 Aug 1721[5], d. 18 Mar 1796 at Ashford, m. 1st at Ashford 12 Apr 1748 Elizabeth Phillips (b. 3 Feb 1729 at Woodstock, CT, d. 27 Jul 1793 at Windham, dau. of Ebenezer & Mary (Lyon) Phillips) m. 2nd at Ashford 6 Jul 1763 Ursula Streeter (d. 9 Apr 1804)
  3. Sarah Snow, b. 24 Jan 1724[5], d. 17 May 1726 at Ashford, CT
  4. Sarah Snow, b. 29 Apr 1726 in Ashford, Windham, CT

In 1725 the family left Woburn, Massachusetts Bay, pioneering Ashford Township, Windham County, Connecticut, New England with other Woburn neighbors and family.

Sarah (Locke) Snow lived a long life in Ashford Township, Connecticut, witnessing both the French & Indian Wars and the American Revolution there. She died on 16 November 1790 in Ashford, Windham, Connecticut, USA.
