Alice Mavis Locke was born about 1921 in Queensland, Australia as the thirteenth child of Walter Thomas Locke and Rachel Hamilton. She had twelve siblings, namely: Frances Pearl, Albert James (Jim), Victoria May, John Thomas, Amy Rose, Evelyn, Walter Alexander, Robert William, Florence Minnie, Herbert Hamilton, Irwin Archibald, and Edward Stanley. She died on 12 May 1976^[1] in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. When she was 19, she married Samuel Pearson Meharg, son of Joseph Meharg and Esther Knight, on 31 Aug 1940^[2] in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia.
