Biography
Gilbert was born in 1834. He is the son of William Longstreet and Mary Ann (White) Longstreet. Gilbert married Harriet M. Wendel, 1859, Lafayette County, Mississippi.[1] In 1860, Gilbert and Harriet are recorded on the federal census in Yalobusha County, Mississippi.[2] Gilbert died 1866 in Yalobusha County, though he is buried in Oxford Memorial Cemetery, Oxford, Lafayette County, Mississippi.[3]
