Biography
Lydia Hendrickson Longstreet was born on December 18, 1809, in Holmdel, New Jersey to Hendrick L Longstreet and Mary Longstreet. She married Daniel Polhemus Schenck on November 30, 1831, in Monmouth, New Jersey. They had two children during their marriage. She died as a young mother on April 7, 1838, in her hometown, and was buried in Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum there.
