Biography

December 20, 1719. James, baptized, First Church, Berwick. He married Sarah Libbey, 1732. James and Sarah his wife received to communion, First Church, Berwick.

Lord was a sergeant in the Second Foot Company, First York, Maine County Regiment, Sir William Pepperrell, Colonel; roll dated March 17, 1758. He was in the expedition to Quebec, with his three brothers, Aaron, Joseph, and Jabez. Five of his sons, James, Richard, Jeremiah, Adam, and Daniel were soldiers in the Revolution.

The following children were baptized at South Berwick, Me.: Sarah, Mary, Richard, Anna, Jacob, Adam, Mary, Keziah, Daniel, Benjamin. [ref 31:15,45,53,90] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - His will, made in 1770, was probated in 1772.
