Biography

Ernest Wilhelm "Ernie" Lorenz, the son of Rudolph Lorenz and Emma Hellenberg, was born on July 20, 1912 in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois. ^{(See Research Note #1 below)}

Ernie married Lenore Hendrian, daughter of Christian Hendrian and Wilhelmina Hendrian. ^{(See Research Note #2 below)}
Their children included

• Nancy Norene Lorenz ^[1], married Marion Hofman
• Marcia Kay "Marcy" Lorenz ^[2] (1942-2019), married Richard Weber in 1965, had issue

In June 1935, Ernest was living in Decatur, Macon County, Illinois. ^[1]

In June, 1940 Ernest (age 27), with his wife Lenore (age 26) and daughter Nancy (age 2), were living in Mattoon, Coles County, Illinois. Ernest had completed 2 years of college, and was working as a traveling salesman for a paper house. ^[1]

Ernie died on February 4, 1996 in Mattoon, Coles County, Illinois at the age of 83. ^{[3] (See Research Note #4 below)}
