Biography
Giles Andrew Loring, born in 1805 in Connecticut, was the son of Isaac Loring and Caroline Owen.[1]
He first married Elizabeth Ann Kellog, who died in 1837. After her death he married Damaris (Demmis) Wariner.[1]
He and his wife Damaris had 5 children at home (at Sheffield, Massachusetts) in 1850: George, Maria, Cornelia, Mary, and Sarah.[2]
In 1860 the family had moved to Michigan. The following children were at home: Nellie, Mary, Sarah, Augusta, and Charles.[3]
Giles died on 22 June 1874 in White Pigeon, at 69 years of age.[4][5] He was buried at White Pigeon Township Cemetery.[6]
