Captain Andrew (Lothrop) Lathrop served with Major Backus' Regiment Light Horse, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Andrew Lathrop was born on 20 April 1728 in Norwich, Connecticut Colony. He was the son of William Lathrop and Sarah Huntington.

Andrew Lathrop married as his first wife Deborah Woodworth on 15 October 1755 in Norwich, Connecticut Colony, by Benjamin Throop. Andrew Lathrop married as his second wife Abigail Fish on 14 September 1763 in Norwich, Connecticut Colony. Andrew Lathrop died on 9 July 1803 in Bozrah, New London County, Connecticut, at age 75.[1][2]
