Lydia Conant was born on November 8, 1692 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony, daughter of Nathaniel Conant (1650–1732) and Hannah Mansfield (1654–~1732).

Lydia (19) married Andrew Lovell (20) (b. 1692 in Scituate, Massachusetts; d. about 1723.) on September 10, 1712 in Bridgewater.^[1]

Whereas the above named Andrew Lovell deceased ... Lately died intestate whereby the power of ... administration and full disposition of all ... the goods chattels rights and credits of the sd deceased ...

[4:07] And to exhibit the same into the Registry of the Court of Probate ... at or before the first day of April [1724]. And I do hereby ... appoint you Administratrix of all ... the goods chattels, Rights & Credits aforesd.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and the seal of the said Court of Probate Dated at Barnstable ... [11 March 1723]. ^[2]

On April 1, 1723 Judge Otis set aside provisions for Lydia and her two young children Jean (7) ^[3] and Silas (5) and appointed her their guardian. ^[4]

Second Marriage

Lydia (34) married Samuel Fuller (45) (born in November, 1681 in Barnstable, Plymouth Colony; son of Barnabas Fuller and Elizabeth (Young) Fuller) on December 20, 1726 in Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay. Their children were:

• Joshua Fuller (1727–1816)
• Elizabeth Fuller (1729–1808)
• Rebecca Fuller (1731–1823)
• Lot Fuller (1733–1811)

Lydia died on December 28, 1764 in Bolton, Connecticut Colony, aged 72.

Research Notes

This family removed from Barnstable to Rochester, MA, thence to Colchester and Bolton, Ct. Samuel Fuller was admitted to the church at Bolton by letter from Colchester, CT, March 9, 1749. His wife Lydia is probably the widow Fuller who d. at Bolton, CT, Dec. 28, 1764, aged 72 years.
