Lt.-Col. Henry Williamson Lugard, born 10th July 1813 and baptised on 14th September 1814 at Saint Luke in Chelsea, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom was the son of Captain John Lugard and Jane Llewellyn Trewman. [1]
He married Margaret Ann McHendry, daughter of Captain John McHendry and Sarah Leland Fulton.
He died on 1 December 1857 at China, while on active service.
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Engineers. He fought in the China War in 1857
