Obituary Register-Guard, Eugene, Oregon, 6 January 2014:

"Janet Katherine Henrikson passed away on December 19, 2013 from a sudden illness. She was 79.Born in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Orval and Pearl Lusk on August 2, 1934, Janet was a loving, sweet-tempered person who also enjoyed a reputation as a prankster early in life. After graduating from University High School in Eugene, Oregon, in 1952, Janet married Ralph "Swede" Henrikson in 1953; he remained the love of her life even after his passing in 1988. Ralph and Janet raised four children together while they moved around the western states, including stops in the San Francisco Bay Area and Idaho in the '60's and '70's, before settling back in Eugene, where Janet proudly worked for the Eugene Police Department. A compassionate woman, Janet shared everything in her life with those she loved. The fact that she remained lifelong friends with so many of her "Uni High" classmates speaks to her generous, friendly nature. She enjoyed classical music, bird watching, and discovering new recipes. She is survived by her four children, Norman Henrikson (Suzann), Teri Henrikson, Eric Henrikson (Brenda), and Brian Henrikson; four sisters and one brother; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Her smile, her laugh, and her wit will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will follow in spring 2014."
