Biography

Carole Dee Lyle Richardson, a 30-year resident of Belen NM and 5-year resident of Ellison Bay, WI passed away on Wed, November 5, 2008 at Belen Meadows Healthcare Center in Belen, NM, after fighting the complications following a stroke.

Carole was born November 10, 1931 to James and Doris Hardin Lyle, in Highwood, Illinois, where she attended Highland Park High School (Class of '48/'49) and lived for 22 years before meeting the love her life, Wilson "Rich" Richardson. She and Rich built homes, literally, in Highland Park, IL, Ellison Bay, (Door Co) WI and Belen, NM where she was always involved in something; school PTA's, United Methodist Church in Highland Park, the annual picnics with the VFW & Firefighters, holiday celebrations, birthdays, friends get-togethers, camping trips, Belen TOPS, Alkali Anns Gardners of Belen, Rio Communities Committee, Ellison Bay Women's Club & Historical Society, and above all, creating hearth and home for her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Rich; three of four daughters, Jennifer Taylor, Rebecca Lueras (Francisco), Nancy Smith; five grandchildren, Molly and Meghan Doyle, Jay Richardson, Lyle Reitmeyer and Benjamin Smith; great-granddaughter, Delia Grace; and brother James(Dee)Lyle of Norfolk VA.

Her almost 77 years on Earth will be marked for her love of family and friends and her mission to provide nourishment, comfort, help, advice and opinions. For herself, she loved cooking, reading, crafts, crosswords, collecting apples and hummingbirds, taking memento pictures, and always gardening. While she in now in heaven with daughter Marcia, her parents, sister Doris, and other loved ones, her spirit and person will be greatly missed by many on whom she shone her light. ^[1]
