Frederick Joseph MacDonald was born about 1803 in Falmouth, Nova Scotia, son of William MacDonald (~1780–~1857) and Sarah Hutchinson (1786–1851).
Frederick and Mary Robins were married. Mary was born in 1806. Their known children were:
- William Henry MacDonald (~1823–>1891)
- Thomas Enslie MacDonald (~1828–~1903)
- Andrew MacDonald (~1841–~1864)
In the 1861 Census of Canada Fred'k McDonald was recorded in Hants, Nova Scotia. He was the head of the household.[1]
Frederick died (age 64) on 5 October 1867 in Hants, Nova Scotia.[2]
