Biography

Son of John "the cooper" McKenzie of Inverness, Scotland, and Ann Reed McKenzie of Scotland. Brother of Jane McKenzie Maxwell Don, 1823-1911, of Dakota City, Nebraska, Nancy McKenzie McDonald , 1827-1907, of Batavia, New York, and half brother of John F McKenzie , 1813-1888, of Marcellus, Michigan. Kenneth married Mary Torpey around 1851. He was a prosperous farmer and school teacher.
