Biography
"Mrs Melvina MacNaughton Whitney, widow of Edward P. Whitney, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday in Richmond, Virginia. Surviving are her son, Raymond H. Whitney of Richmond; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Joseph B Whinery and two brothers, Henry D and John D MacNaughton, all of Grand Rapids. Mrs. Whitney was a member of Mayflower Congregational Church and its Mary Brewster Circle, a member of ProReNata Club and of the DAR. ... Graveside services at Oak Hill Cemetery". [1]
