Laurie Jean Macdonald, daughter of Louis Ivan Austin Macdonald (1879–1955) and Barbara Ann Mary Merry (1876–1950) was born 5 February 1912 in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada.[1][2] Sometime before 1920, the Macdonald family returned to their roots in Prince Edward Island, where Jean is listed with her parents and siblings in the 1921 Canada Census,[3] and again in 1931.[4]
Jean became a Registered Nurse and for many years was the director of a Convalescent Home in Montague, Prince Edward Island.
Jean immigrated to the United States sometime before 1970 when she married Carl Heim in Anaheim, California, United States.[1] She died on 20 January 1999 in Beaumont, Riverside, California, United States, aged 86.[2]
Correct order of her names is uncertain. She is listed as Jean in the Canada Census, but most other sources list her name as Laurie Jean.
