Amos Mace was born in Brigstock, Northamptonshire, England.
Amos was born in 1765 to Amos and Mary Mace (Needs profiles creating) and christened on 24 Nov 1765 at St Andrew, Brigstock, Northamptonshire. [1]
He married Zillah Abbott on 24 June 1792 at St Nicholas, Tywell, Northamptonshire [2].

Their son James was baptised at St Andrew's, Brigstock on 28th April 1974 [4].
Their daughter Lucy was baptised at St Andrew's Brigstock [5].
Zilla was probably a shortened form of Priscilla - if so, she was known as Pris in the baptism register of their daughter Pris at St Andrew's Brigstock, on 20th March 1803 [6].
Amos, son of Amos and Pris and Mary, daughter of Amos and Pris were baptised at St Andrew's Brigstock on 21st August 1808 [7][8].
In 1841 Amos (aged 70-74, a carpenter) and his wife Zilla (aged 70-74) were living in the Barrack Yard, High Street, Brigstock, Northamptonshire. Also in the household were Mary Humphry (35-39) (possibly daughter baptised 1808) and her presumed children Charles (11) and Caroline (9) Humphry (2), [9].
Amos died in the Thrapston Registration district (which included Brigstock), and his death was registered in the September quarter of 1848 [10].
Third Amos living around this time: a widower who married Hannah Smith at Brigstock on 16 October 1821 [11]., and if so he will be the Amos Mace of Brigstock Park, a grazier, who died in 1858 leaving an estate of under £300 to his wife, Hannah, probate granted 1862 [12] and therefore not Amos Mace (1806-1885)
