Biography
George was born about 1715.
George MacKenzie was a member of the Scotch Brigade of the Dutch Army, which existed in The Netherlands from 1572, and being formally returned to the British establishment on 1st October 1794 as the 94th of Foot. “Regiment Schotten” was not used as a designation until 1772. [1]
