Biography

He is noticed in Ferguson's work[1] in the Marriage Register of the Scots Brigade when he appears in a contract of marriage, 20 August 1745, at Bergen op Zoom, North Brabant, Netherlands, between himself, stated to be a soldier of Colonel Marjoribank's Regiment and Company, and Kathrine MacLeod, stated to be the widow of Donald MacCaskle, a soldier of Captain Lamy's Company. The witnesses to the contract were James MacPherson, a Corporal of Colonel Marjoribanks' Company and Donald Mackenzie, a Corporal of Captain Mackenzie's Company. They were married on 1 September 1745.
