Biography

Earle Parslow Maclean was born on March 25, 1894 in Donald, British Columbia, Canada, son of Donald Hugh Maclean, night guardian with the CPR, and Sarah Lawrence.^[1]

In the 1901 census Earle (age 7) was the son of Donald McLean in Canada, British Columbia. His father was a Conductor.^[2]

In the 1911 census Earle was the single son of Donald McLean in Kootenay County, British Columbia, Canada.^[3]

In the 1916 census Earle (age 21) was the single roomer of B E McQuaig in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.^[4]

Earle married Eva Hutton (born on April 23, 1899 in Lethbridge, Northwest Territories, Canada, daughter of William Osborne Hutton & Mary Christina Gillis) in 1928 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.^[5] They had one child, William Donald Maclean. Earle and Eva separated about 1935.

Earle travelled to the United States in 1931 through the Eastport, Idaho, United States border crossing.^[6]

In the 1931 census Earle (age 37) was the married head of household in Okotoks, Foothills No. 31, Alberta, Canada. He was an Accountant.^[7]

Earle Parslow McLean (age 83) died from broncho-pnemonia on March 11, 1978 at his home on Simcoe Street in Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia. His friend Walter Gallagher of Fort Street, Victoria, was the informant of his death. Earle was cremated on March 15th at Royal Oak Crematorium.^[8][9]
