Joanna was born on 20 April 1722 in Marshfield. She was the daughter of Thomas Macomber and Joanna Tinkham.[1]
She passed away in 1791.
The will of Joanna Macomber, of Marshfield, spinster, was dated 19 May 1777 and proved on 14 March 1791 in Plymouth. She mentions her sister Elizabeth Winslow, wife of Job Winslow, Mary Lewis, wife of Daniel Lewis, Joanna Winslow, daughter of Job Winslow, Joanna Macomber, daughter of Thomas Macomber Jr., Thomas Macomber (under 21 years old), son of Thomas Macomber Jr., her kinsman, Onessimus Macomber, and her black woman Jemima Hommany, and her father, Thomas Macomber, decd. Her inventory was taken on 6 August 1791 in Marshfield. (Researcher's Note: Jemima is not listed in the inventory.)[2]
In 1795, an account of her estate by Sarah Macomber was recorded which included appraisers, gravestones, doctor in her last sickness, coffin and grave digging, nursing, and administration fees.[3]
