Biography

Catherine was born in Kingsville, Ashtabula, Ohio in 1843 a few years after her parents moved there from Massachusetts.

She married Charles Lyman Webster in Kingsville on November 1, 1871.

She gave birth to three children -- a daughter and two sons. Neither of the sons survived past their first year. Adjacent to Katie and Charles' headstones in Lulu Falls Cemetery, Kingsville, Ohio are three small headstones. In 1900 census, it states that she gave birth to three children but only one lived. A survey of Ashtabula county records produced the birth and death of Ray in 1875 and one of the little stones has his name on it but there is no record of a third child.

She passed away in 1913. From her death certificate, it appears that she was living in a boarding home or care home in Geneva, Ashtabula, Ohio at the time of her death possibly because her husband, Charles, appears to have been placed in the County Home the year previous. It also states she was a widow, but Charles did not die until February, 1914. ^[1]
