Biography
Joseph was born at Beal, Yorkshire[1] and baptised at Kellington in 1753. He was the son of John Makin and Mary Craggs.[2]
He married Sarah Coward at Kellington in 1778.[3] Witnesses were William Craven and his brother Thomas Makin.[4]
