Ambrose Malboeuf was a Canadian First Peoples and member of the Metis Nation.
Ambrose Malbeuf.
Born
Date: 10 Jun 1880. Records indicate 3 different dates of birth - 1879 (census), 1880 (scrip and military), 1883 (scrip archive).
Location: near Brandon, Manitoba, Canada. Conflicts exist depending on the document: Ambrose lists his birth location as Manitoba (Scrip, Census), Wood Mountain, Saskatchewan (Military, Census), Northwest Territories (Census) and Olds Mountain, Alberta (Military). The location near Brandon is taken from Scrip records.
Metis Roots
Malboeuf, Ambroise; address: Oakville; born: 10 June, 1880 near Brandon; father: Pierre Malboeuf (Métis); mother: Mary Ross (Métis); scrip cert.: form E, no. 3561; claim no. 1799.[1]
Discharged because "medically unfit", "sickness". Ambrose developed diphtheria while staying at the Moose Jaw barracks in 1917. He then contracted tuberculosis and was moved to Earl Grey Medical Sanatorium (Hospital) in Regina.
1889 - Devils Lake, Turtle Mountain, Dakota Territory. Tribe: Ojibwe. It is obvious that the ages of family members are incorrect and were just entered in chronological order. As example, Domitille shows as being 9 years old, when in fact she was just a baby.[7]

I worked to get it right the first time, but as we know... mistakes happen, times change and so does access to information. Please add to or correct this profile based on sourced fact. Thanks. Morgan Mulligan
