Biography
Thomas Mann was born in 1776, the son of Robert Mann (~1750-1782 VA) and Mary Ann Worsham (~1757 VA - 1856 Russell County, KY). He married Prudence Blankenship in Campbell County, VA and moved to Kentucky. They were found in Adair, Kentucky and then Russell County. Possibly the Robert Mann on the Greenup, KY census in 1830.
The specific parentage of father Robert Mann has not been identified as of 2022, by the Mann Family Research Foundation, which includes DNA analysis as well as research of original records. Robert's wife,
Mary Ann Worsham, was also a descendant of the Manns, from her mother Mary Mann, who had married Drury Worsham (d 1766) in VA. Her mother remarried to John Cape, Sr afterward. Mary Ann Worsham's mother Mary Mann Worsham Cape was the daughter of John Mann (~1685 Henrico, VA-1865 Amelia, VA) and wife Mary (d ~1736 Amelia Co, VA).
