Violet Bertina Manzer was born on August 30, 1927, in York, New Brunswick, Canada. She was the daughter of Turney Manzer and Gertrude McNeil. She married Bruce Andrew Hunter on December 30, 1948, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.[1] They had 12 children in 14 years. She died on December 23, 1971, at the age of 44, and was buried in Nashwaak Bridge, New Brunswick, Canada.[2]
