Biography
Samuel was born in Kidderminster, Worcestershire in 1848.
On 16 December 1899, he married widow Ellen Cardwell (née Moore) in her home village of Thornhill, Yorkshire. In the 1901 census, the couple can be seen living together in Heckmondwike with their children from their previous marriages.
By 1911, Samuel had moved back to Kidderminster and stated his marital status as widowed on the 1911 census. Ellen can be seen living alone with her youngest daughter in Dewsbury, Yorkshire in the same census.
Samuel passed away in Aston, Warwickshire in 1920.
