Research Notes

  • Ruth Marcy is given as Harry's mother in his obit.
  • her name appears as Lottie just once, in the 1900 census. However, I'm sure that Lottie and Ruth are one and the same - it does not appear that her husband married twice, and in the 1900 census, she is recorded as having been married 18 years, and has a 17-year-old (Harry), and it says she had one child born, one child living. (It was "0" but was crossed out and written "1") She is called Ruth on Harry's death certificate and in his obituary, as well as in the 1880 census. I have not found information beyond the year 1900 for either her or her husband.Weatherall-96 02:08, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
