Recently merged profiles included the names Elizabeth Markenfield, Isabella Markinfield,[9] and Isabella Elizabeth Markenfield and resulted in Isabella "Elizabeth" (Markenfield) Calverley. However, the profile does not include a source for Isabella as her given name, and Richardson's Royal Ancestry (Vol I, p 441), has only Elizabeth Markenfield, so I changed Proper/Preferred names to Elizabeth. That entry for Richardson also only shows her father: daughter of Thomas Markenfield, of Markenfield, Yorkshire. Richardson lists Beatrice Sothill as Thomas's wife in the entry for their son (Elizabeth's brother) John (Vol IV, p 62). Noland-165 12:40, 22 March 2016 (EDT)
Of possible interest (if true): Isabel, Elizabeth, and Beatix are synonyms:[10]
"Due to the derivation, it has been a long tradition in Scotland for Elizabeth and Isabel [and their variants, pet names, etc] to be used interchangeably, i.e. as synonyms. This can be confusing when searching through older records and care should be taken to consider this possibility when researching.[11]

Hi! I had a note on Granddad Thomas Markenfield's profile Markenfield-21 that his daughter Elizabeth had been kidnapped by grandson Thomas (Markenfield-11). So... That resolves the date problems! I've returned her to Markenfield-21 & mom Beatrice Sothill-1.
