Biography

Mary Elizabeth Marriott

She was born on 8 Apr 1835, and baptised at the Wesleyan chapel at Barnwell, Cambridge, England on 17 Jn 1836. She was the daughter of Henry Marriott and Mary Ann Smith. Her father is said to be a collar and harness maker of St Andrrew the lesser, Cambridge. ^[1][2]

On 25 Dec 1857 at St Leonard St Mary, Bromley, England she married John Gladstone. ^{[3][4][5][6][7][8]}

She passed away in 1898. ^[9] She was buried on 22 Dec 1898 at Erith, Kent, and said to have been aged 65 and died at Camberwell infirmary. ^[10]
